Matching the correct training to your job goal
We have a number of Training courses which we offer in-house and these are detailed at the bottom of the page. Click on the Training course you are interested in and the appropriate Training card will appear for you to read or print off as you require. To discuss other Training Options than those listed, please contact us and ask to speak to one of our Case Managers who will discuss the options available.
However, before looking in detail at the training options we offer, it is important that you know what your job goal is or the area of work you would like to work in, by matching your skills, aspirations and abilities to jobs.
To help you with all of this we strongly recommend you look through our three, easy to follow steps first:
Step 1 – Let's talk about You
Step 2 – Let's talk about Jobs
Step 3 – Let's talk about St Loye's
If you are still unsure about your job goal or the area of work you would like to work in, then we can help you with this. Depending on your individual circumstances and needs, we offer various opportunities for you to speak with experienced staff at St Loye's prior to training with us. Please call us on 01392 255428 or e-mail us at info@stloyes.ac.uk to book your place for one of our Meet St Loye's events or to arrange for us to speak with you on a one to one basis.
Once funding for training has been agreed you will be invited in for an assessment with a dedicated Case Manager. Case Managers are responsible for overseeing and coordinating your journey from assessment to the completion of your training programme. During your assessment the Case Manager will discuss your employment aims focusing and building on your skills, aspirations and abilities and from this confirm whether you are ready to start training for work with St Loye's. The Case Manager will then build an Individual Employment Plan (IEP) in agreement with you. This will include alongside development, support and employability programmes, the correct type of training to suit your needs and enable you to reach your employment aim.
Flexible skills training
Through St Loye's training staff or through a number of high quality training providers that St Loye's deals with nationwide, we offer a range of training programmes and modules to help you into work at the earliest opportunity.
The location, length and type of training programme depends on your individual needs, circumstances and job goals. These will be discussed and agreed with your Case Manager at assessment stage.
