Shadow Disabilities Minister Mark Harper MP visited three Exeter based charities at the invitation of Hannah Foster, Prospective Conservative MP for Exeter.

Mr Harper, who was appointed as the Shadow Disabilities Minister as part of the Conservative Party's Shadow Work and Pensions team,visited St. Loye's Foundation, Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education and the West of England School & College for young people with little or no sight.

Mr. Harper's all day visit on Friday 15th January culminated with him addressing an invited audience of disability-related professionals with a presentation entitled "Time for Change – Disability Policy."

Commenting on the visit, Hannah Foster said: "Exeter is a centre of excellence in providing for those with disabilities – we have a unique set of organisations and providers in one place.  

"It is very important that our specialists hear from and talk to those with responsibility for disability policy.    I am delighted that Mark Harper, Shadow Disabilities Minister,has visited us and spent the whole day understanding what we have here and hearing from our specialists, as well as explaining what a Conservative Government will do."
