Future Jobs Fund

Future Job Fund

Overview

Creating sustained employment opportunities for young people is the cornerstone of the future jobs fund.

St Loye's is creating 70 Jobs  in Devon for young people through the future jobs fund using an innovative and entrepreneurial approach.  We are creating jobs that can lead to sustainable employment

The prospects for employment of young people, especially those between the ages of 18-24 has been severely affected by the recession, and the Future Jobs Fund offers an opportunity for employers to work with young people to right that economic wrong.

The fund is run by the Department for Work and Pensions in partnership with the Department for Communities and Local Government.

St Loye’s is working  in partnership with Devon County' Council and other local organisations to create additional jobs, primarily aimed at 18-24 year olds who have been out of work for nearly a year.

We are also working in a national consortium of over 100 different 3rd sector organisations to help create 2932 jobs together!

A key objective is that these jobs will deliver real benefits to communities.
