We were delighted to be named the official County Show Charity of the Year in 2009.

Due to our relocation from the Topsham Road site to new city centre headquarters in 2008, many people assumed the charity has closed. Our principle objective for the 2009 Devon County Show was to reach as wider audience as possible to show St Loye’s Foundation was still in existence and that our valuable work continues.
How the 2009 Show was a success for us:
We Made contact with 1000’s people who didn’t know we existed or presumed we’d closed.
Reached out to all ages through various activities, competitions and giveaways
We raised awareness of disability issues
Reconnected with former staff and trainees
Significantly increased our database of volunteers
Increased our membership
Enhanced our profile with supporters
Raised awareness for our cause through media interviews and press opportunities
We met HRH Sophie and Edward
Our Horticultural trainees received a Silver award
